As a child in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell discovered a love for food and cooking from a young age. The Culinary Institute of America sparked her interest in the management of restaurants after she graduated with the English and Communications degree from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an unforgettable opportunity for me. I couldn't seem to get enough out of it. After graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. It was during this time that her experience in Italy has helped her understand and appreciate the Italian tradition and philosophy, and this has left an impression on her food and culinary experience. Burrell is a well-known ambassador for the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board, which helps kids who have challenges. As a guest speaker and teacher, she travels around the United States to discuss her love for cooking and career. In her journey to culinary excellence, Anne often says that she feels extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share what I love most to others.
